The Rapid Access Addiction Medicine Clinic (RAAM) offers support to individuals with substance use disorders, providing assessments, counseling, and medication to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms. The clinic also serves hospital inpatients through an inpatient addiction consult team, offering addiction‑specific assessments and treatments.
The Registered Nurse works collaboratively within an interprofessional team that includes an addiction medicine physician, social workers, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals. Responsibilities include conducting medical, mental health, addictions, and risk assessments; delivering therapeutic nursing interventions for both RAAM clinic outpatients and inpatient consult patients; supporting individual and group psychotherapeutic interventions; managing clinical coordination and triage for multiple outpatient clinics; administering injectable psychiatric medications and point‑of‑ca...
