Step into your nursing career with confidence. Join Alberta’s Graduate Nurse Transition Pilot Program (GNTPP) – a 12‑month program designed to support recent RN graduates in their first practice years across urban and rural areas.
Program Structure
- Phase 1 – Enhanced Orientation: Supernumerary placement with a Clinical Guide (experienced RN) to develop a personalized learning plan. Duration is flexible based on individual learning needs.
- Phase 2 – Independent Practice with Support: Transition to independent practice while receiving mentor support for the remaining 12 months. After completion, applicants must seek full‑time positions of 0.5 FTE or more in a similar setting, ideally in the same unit, program, site, or office.
