Duties

3C is a 40-bed medical unit specializing in adult patients, with a strong focus on stroke recovery and cardiac care. This unit provides comprehensive care for individuals recovering from strokes, myocardial infarctions (MIs), congestive heart failure (CHF), and those requiring continuous cardiac monitoring for conditions such as atrial fibrillation or dysrhythmias. The care model emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach, incorporating daily rounds to create tailored care plans that address each patient’s unique needs. Staffing levels are optimized to ensure high-quality care, typically with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5 during the day, slightly higher at night.
