The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver campus, is seeking a full‑time Research Associate to join the UBC System‑on‑a‑Chip Research Group.

The Research Associate will design analog and mixed‑signal circuits for electrical and silicon photonic communications systems. This position involves circuit and mathematical modelling, simulation and lab measurements, as well as integrated circuit and system design.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in microelectronics, optical and wireless communication.
• Model electronic and photonic components.
• Design and simulate integrated circuits.
• Perform laboratory measurements.
• Mentor students in modelling, simulation, tape‑outs and measurement to ensure reliable results after chip fabrication.
