Detailed Overview

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Practice Chief, Respiratory Services, and being administratively accountable to the Manager, Health Services; performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory therapy; assists with in-services/education and provides input into program development at Langley Memorial Hospital. Responsibilities Performs diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, interventions and follow-ups as related to Respiratory Therapy such as assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and support, initiating/maintaining mechanical ventilatory support of adults, children and infants, providing airway management, patient evaluation and daily care of patients as prescribed and documents same.
