The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is a professional caregiver who is responsible and accountable for providing quality patient care within a delivery model in accordance with WWRCP philosophy, policies and standards of care of Grand River Hospital, the College of Nurses (CNO) and all relevant legislation.
The RPN coordinates and supports all aspects of the oncology program, including patient/family assessment, teaching, and providing supportive and palliative care. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the RPN oncology nurse will support the development and implementation of patient treatment plans and quality improvement processes. Collaborates closely with physicians and other disciplines. Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
