This role involves significant responsibilities within the Operations and Mechanical team, focusing on the safe movement of passenger rail equipment. You will engage in switching tasks, mainline rescues, and effective communication with Rail Traffic Control. Safety compliance is paramount, making this role critical in rail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Move passenger rail equipment among stations and mainlines
• Switch rail cars according to operational guidelines
• Maintain and operate various rail equipment safely
• Follow federal railway and safety regulations
• Communicate with Rail Traffic Control and other crews
Requirements:
• Certified as a Locomotive Engineer or Conductor
• Experience operating locomotives preferred
• First Aid certification is beneficial
