NATURE OF WORK

This position supports and provides leadership to the business support unit in Fire & Protective Services to facilitate the implementation and maintenance of business solutions. This includes ongoing planning and facilitation of priority setting, managing stakeholder expectations while performing and directing day‑to‑day support activities. The Senior Business Solutions Specialist (SBSS) provides advanced expertise in the administration and support of the various hardware and software used by the Branch, as well as integration with other City applications such as GIS, and On‑Call. As the expert, the SBSS trains and mentors the other Business Solutions Specialists (BSSs) in the branch and provides all levels of staff with support and guidance to troubleshoot the most complex scenarios.
