Overview We’re hiring a Senior Firmware Engineer (Security‑Focused) to join Flex’s engineering team supporting Xylem/Sensus, a global leader in smart metering technologies for water and energy.
Responsibilities - Design and implement embedded security protocols (RSA, ECC, AES, Secure Boot, firmware signing, etc.)
- Enable and integrate hardware cryptographic accelerators
- Ensure compliance with security standards such as NIST, FIPS, ISO/IEC 27001
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define secure system architectures
- Conduct code reviews, threat modeling, and validation for security‑critical code
- Support the full firmware development lifecycle from requirements to testing and deployment
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development using C (bare metal or RTOS)
