Sedgman is expanding its presence across the Americas, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel North America to support our growing Mining & Minerals business. Based in Vancouver, BC, the ideal incumbent will have experience in engineering and the construction industry, preferably in the mining sector, and will have a strong understanding of the concepts and potential risks associated with feasibility studies, detailed design and through to project delivery. We require demonstrated experience in providing accurate, commercial and timely legal advice to the business to ensure legal/contractual risks are appropriately managed and the development, implementation and monitoring of appropriate risk management strategies are implemented in accordance with our commercial limits. This includes assisting with day‑to‑day management of the legal function and compliance with reporting requirements and corporate governance policies.
