Job description
The ideal candidate will be talented, passionate and hard-working, with great intuition for real-world problem solving.
You should possess:
- A 2:1 or first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Noise & Vibrations, Machine Dynamics, Acoustics, Instrumentation or similar.
- A good technical understanding of sensors and data acquisition, with a genuine interest in investigation and problem solving. Some background in understanding of machine dynamics (centrifugal loads, noise, vibrations, resonance, stress and fatigue) would be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail (perfectionist)
- A “fifth-sense” for potential issues (common sense is crucial)
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to create a positive impression on clients (both initially and long lasting), as well as to lead a small team (2-4) of instrumentation technicians.
