Overview
This position focuses on underground transmission line engineering for voltages up to 500kV, including routing, duct bank configurations, manhole placement, and electrical principles.
Responsibilities
- Design underground transmission lines for voltages up to 500kV.
- Perform cost analyses, develop design criteria, address siting and routing challenges, and place manholes for underground transmission lines.
- Create physical designs including duct bank layouts, trenchless designs, cable pulling calculations, and drawing packages.
- Conduct cable selection studies, determine bonding schemes, and perform ampacity calculations.
- Develop riser structure configurations and assess structural loading.
- Prepare specifications for cable procurement, duct bank installation, trenchless installation, and general construction.
