Take on the Sous Chef role at Camp Smitty with BGC Ottawa in Eganville, ON, and contribute to a positive culinary environment. Prepare nutritious meals and maintain an organized kitchen for campers aged 8 to 16.
This seasonal, full-time position reports to the Camp Manager and collaborates with the Head Cook. You'll support daily kitchen operations, uphold hygiene standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere. Ideal candidates will be organized, energetic, and have experience in food service or camp settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in meal preparation and service
• Maintain proper food storage and sanitation
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organized
• Help manage kitchen inventory and supplies
• Report equipment issues as observed
Requirements:
• Enrollment in high school or post-secondary education
• Relevant kitchen experience preferred
