Position Overview

General Motors of Canada seeks a 2nd Class Stationary Engineer to support the Oshawa Powerhouse and Site Utilities operation. The role involves operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining gas‑fired boilers, compressors, water and cooling systems that are essential to safe and reliable plant operations.

Role Summary

The engineer will work in a 24/7 industrial environment, supporting continuous operations across weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will work closely with powerhouse leadership, maintenance staff, engineers, and site stakeholders to ensure equipment performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operation of the Oshawa powerhouse and site utilities in a 24/7 industrial environment.
• Operate and monitor high‑pressure steam boilers and auxiliary systems, including burners, feedwater systems, condensate systems, and deaerators.
