POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor Equipment (Transit) and the direct supervision of the Leadhand Truck and Coach/Automotive Technician participates in the development and implementation of all repair and preventative maintenance programs, and performs testing, diagnosis, repairs and preventative maintenance on all types of buses and equipment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures completion of all documentation related to division operations as assigned by the supervisor.
• Participates in implementation of repair prioritization and preventative maintenance programs and servicing.
• Participates in the development of tenders for equipment and completes inspection of same upon delivery.
• Tests, diagnoses and repairs computer controlled engine and power train components, braking, electrical, suspension, hydraulic, heating and ventilation systems.
