Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is an academic and teaching health system that provides specialized mental health, addiction and geriatric care. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay and comprised of a 315‑bed hospital, an academic research institute, and a wide array of community‑integrated clinical programs, Waypoint serves some of the most complex and disadvantaged individuals in Ontario and is the sole provider of high‑secure forensic mental health services in the province. Waypoint’s 1,300+ staff change lives and bring hope by leading the advancement and delivery of excellent and compassionate care for people with mental illness and addictions, as well as to older adults living with complex medical and/or psychiatric conditions.
